Day Birerre Day is a Haitian born, Brooklyn based multimedia artist. Her works draw inspiration from self-taught Haitian folk artists, 60s pop art and DIY culture. Using bold saturated colors and a heavily textured process, the artist explores the joys and grief of black womanhood, the queering of playfulness and the pressure to assimilate into American culture.
