look up a sensor reset. Pull the switch up 10 times, push it down 10 times, then pull up and hold for 10 seconds. I was just about to buy the switch, I found out Subaru's have a safety sensor in the windows, very easy fix takes seconds to try before spending $$$. The old one stopped working intermittently on the driver's window. The problem got worse over time and then it stopped completely. After replacing the switch and reconnecting the battery, I did the reset trick on the rear and passenger windows and now they all work fine from the master.So until the passenger window is "reset" such that the computer knows the difference between real obstruction and something in the way before the window is supposed to reach it's limit, it will not let the driver control it. I'm not saying this is an ideal way of handling this, but this could explain it.Remove the switch assembly from the door. My Subaru is my mobile office, I spend my entire day getting in and out of the car 25 times a day. I am an off-lease vehicle inspector.
