Battlefront 2 servers shut down.
Go to Options -> EA Account and change the region. Play a game, and go back to that options screen. . I'd like to know if this is the intended purpose or if there's a bug in the option. I'd really like to be able to permanently change muy server region. 10 people had this problem. Reply.

It's entirely dependent on when EA decides to pull the plug or not, based off of how many players there are. Costs money to keep the servers online after all. The game does not save settings on exit, which is unexcusable since 2007 BF2 did, on the PSP even. Put that all aside it's a fun game to not take serious.
