They also have the “Hand-Wound Wildwood 10 Strat Single-Coils”. The pickups are very different between the two. The ‘57 has visibly more stagger in the magnets. The G and D poles are very pronounced. The ‘59 has a flatter stagger.The new ones sounded just like the old ones. I prefer the odr-s as it has more control over the sound, particularly the low end which can be a bit thumpy on the odr-1. The odr-s also has a lot more gain range so it can be really flexible. Throw in 3 band eq and lower used prices it's a no brainer for me.
