Re: Visiting Croatia in September. Of course no one can predict the weather that far in advance but usually the end of September is still lovely. Under normal circumstances, everything would be open at the end of September but like this, who knows. Split is great for island hopping to Brac, Hvar, Korcula and Mljet.Adriatic Travel has the best rates of anyone by far. I know nothing about Jet2 but if you are GOT fans I would choose something in the Dubrovnik area ( Lapad /Babin Kuk). There are filming locations scattered around Croatia ( Split area, Sibenik etc) but Dubrovnik (and surrounds) were the main sets.

If starting in Dubrovnik, Istria is too far for your short amount of time. Split and Dubrovnik with an overnight in Mostar is a good plan. You could also do a day trip to Montenegro from Dubrovnik if you wanted a little more time in Croatia to stay on an Island such as Korcula, Brac or Hvar for a couple of days..
