That's a good question KPRO. We don't know so much. In Forrest pictures it looks like a brasing metal blob in the inside lower left lid. It is missing on Barbarisi's photos. I don't find any of Jack's photos showing the lower inside left. brass or brasing requires to much heat for the wood to be there at the time.
