I always received the mission alert reward. However, they should remove that requirement in Resupply and Build the Radar Towers. You usually can avoid any fight in these two kind of missions, they should just make sure you contribute to the actual mission goal. I don't hate Teddy/Hover spammers, as long as they still contribute the mission.
