I could preload the night before and be competitive in group. In score I was competitive with the 30BR, using a 6mm PPC. It's as if the Japanese took a Rem 700 and winchester Model 70, bred them to make a child, then added an M16 extractor. That's how I usually describe the Howa 1500.
