it depends, if u are playing a balanced char, raw it is, but if you are doing a int build, magic, for dex build, poison, for faith build, lighting, for str build... choose another weapon :PEstoc has the reach, poise damage and variety of attacks (including shield bypass), but the Ropera has better damage, weight and counter bonus. Plus can parry one-handed. And the worst part is that they both look sooo nice. Normally that would be the deciding factor but its no help here ;) 1.Estoc is better against normal enemies as you get critical bonus and you can play much more defensibly. Also if requires less weight. Balder Sword does more upfront damage/scales better, has great moveset and great reach for said moveset. This sword is better against bosses and larger enemies, honestly I think it is more nimble then the Estoc ...For pve I'd say the estoc definitely, the better range and the horizantal slash on the one handed R2 will help a lot. For pvp it depends, the rapier has higher critical damage but the estoc has higher base damage, making it a better choice for turtling.
