I have another unit with the pinch detect fault so I will try the bypass on that unit. These things are such trash.While troubleshooting, I noticed that the metal contacts can be connected to bypass the bonnet, similar to what worked for bypassing the pinch. It would be great to find a way to bypass the DFI. Granted that could lead to poo smears on the globe, but I'm already in the habit of checking the robot frequently so that shouldn't happen.

Remove the globe and put the bonnet back on to see if the motor will go the whole way. If so, it’s likely an issue with too much weight in the globe. If you haven’t made any changes with the type or amount of litter than it could be the gears not catching properly or the motor is just going bad.
