My research program focuses on three areas: 1) Identification of new and emerging viruses; 2) Biological and functional characterization of viruses; and 3) Quantifying the interaction of viruses, their arthropod vectors, their hosts, and abiotic stresses. I study viruses that infect plants, bacteria, fungi, and insects.
