In a conclusion, I think the 3.85mm Amy Roke irons are pretty satisfying. I collected all of the different pricking iron sizes and thought I'd use the 'right' one every time, but as time passes and practicality sinks in, I mostly stick to 5mm for big projects, 3mm for smaller projects, a matching awl for each.
