After shooting the CVA Optima V2 rifle at the range and in the field here is what I like: Light weight at just over 6.5 Lb, especially for a black powder rifle. Even with 26″ fluted barrel it feels relatively compact. The major difference that we could find was that the Accura V2 models feature a Bergara-branded barrel, while the Optima V2 has a "regular" CVA barrel. For those folks not familiar with the Bergara Barrels, this company supplies high quality center-fire barrels to many of the most respected rifle manufacturers in Europe and the USA.The break open latching on the Wolf is located on the front of the trigger guard. It tends to snag on things causing it to open while hunting. The Optima is on the back of the guard and haven’t had any problems whatsoever. I now own an Accura MR Nitride. I've used pellets for years and I'm a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" kinda guy. Hornady 300grain XTP's in .452 absolutely knock deer down! No blood trailing required. The 240 grain work well but not like the 300's. This what all of my little circles shoot and they are all CVA's. Accura's, Optima's and a Wolf. The XTP's shoot great in all of them.
