I began to notice an uneven cut where there appears to be a slight ledge left after mowing. This ledge appears on both level and hilly surfaces, and appears to be being left from the middle of my deck.

Doesn't the BX1880 have an adjustment to how far the deck raises by turning a nut on the linkage connecting the 3PH to the deck lift hardware. Should be right behind the rear left wheel. My BX24 has a double nut on a linkage rod that will allow the mower to raise more or less & release pressure so the knob will turn easier.

There is a small detaunt that the blade sets in so it is centered to the shaft and the bolt. Tightening the bolt with a wrench will not get it tight enough. Make sure the bolt threads are ok and not stripped.
