I've recently removed and installed an L35 w/Muncie using a lift plate and grade 8 bolts and a 1 ton Harbor Freight cherry picker with no problems. Granted, the nose was off the car, but the carb plate is more than strong enough even if using an aluminum manifold. Read the attachment for a test done with a lift plate. Mike
